Ad claims Snyder outsourced jobs
h/t Detroit News (Political)
A TV commercial produced for the Willow Run Tea Party Caucus resurrects allegations Gov. Rick Snyder outsourced jobs to China while serving as Gateway Computer’s CEO.
The spots are being aired at the height of Snyder’s economic development tour of Asia.
The caucus members oppose drumming up business with China because they think it undermines the U.S. economy and poses national security risks. They also oppose Snyder’s plan for the New International Trade Crossing because they fear China will put in a bid on it and could end up controlling a major trade route with Canada.
Tea Party Director Dennis Moore said the spot was created at the invitation of Bloomfield Hills producer Joel Ross , who produced it essentially at no charge. He didn’t know who was responsible for the TV buy.
“I don’t know who’s funding it, and I really don’t care,” Moore said.
Ross said he’s paying for the spots out of his own pocket because he shares the caucus’s concerns about being too cozy with China. They’re running in the Jackson area on about 10 channels, but Ross wouldn’t divulge the cost.
Is Ron Paul the Iowa Frontrunner?
After almost winning the Iowa Straw Poll in August, The Iowa Republican reports:
“As the rest of the GOP field experiences the highs and lows of the campaign trail, one candidate’s support remains constant. Ron Paul’s supporters are the most fervent, the most loyal, and there are plenty of them in Iowa.
His message is resonating with a significant contingent of Iowa Caucus goers. Drawing sizable crowds at every tour stop, the Texas congressman has a motivated and active base.
Paul’s vote total at the Ames Straw Poll in August was the third highest in the event’s history. Unlike Straw Poll winner Michele Bachmann, Paul’s support is not slipping. Right now, Ron Paul probably has a greater amount of committed caucus supporters than any other candidate. If the vote were held today, there is a chance Ron Paul would win Iowa.
The Chop Tops- My Last Ride
Hey everybody! It’s that time for Rockabilly! While I had Rockabilly playing in the background on AOL radio today, this little gem was playing. As you can tell from my last few personal based postings, they are quite polar opposite. As if I am bipolar or something. Which I am not. I think bipolar people change emotions for no good reasons. Let me see – recieve subpoena = pissed, scared, confused, wanna hit someone – meeting presidential candidate = happy, excited, giddy. I think I am quite normal. Well that may be debatable.
So as for my reasoning for posting this as Rockabilly After Midnite I have been doing some self reflecting. Whether life hands me negative or positive things I need to take it on like this is my last ride. As though I am heading out to a drag race. Regardless of what’s going on this could be my last chance it’s a do or die situation. It’s time to take life by the horns, no looking back. So pull your hair in a ponytail and trim them Bettie Page bangs, or pomade up your pompadore. And get ready for a bumpy ride.
Now let’s rumble!
Ice Cream Cone Costume Looks Like KKK Outfit!?
You have got to be kidding me! Sometimes I swear people are so dumb. This looks like a Ku Klux Klan outfit!?

Who the fudge in their right freakin mind would get the two mixed up? Of course when one thinks of the Klan, they think of guys waving and smiling on the corner all while advertising ice cream or any other happy sugary goodness.
Big Sandy & his Fly-Rite Boys – MAD!
So here is tonite’s Rockabilly After Midnite. I don’t think I need to give much commentary. Just that “a lot of things make me mad. I just want to explode. I wanna overload.” The words in this song goes along with this point in my life.
OK, so “embedding has been disabled by user.” Well that’s one thing that’s making me mad. Anyhoo, I will link y’all to the vid.
Mike Ness – Cheating At Solitaire
No, I am not confused with the time. This is not Rockabilly After Midnite.
Check the post below, this is the song that was playing on LastFM when the officer brought the subpoena. How ironic right? Considering that Mike Ness is my crushy-wushy and basically the words fit the situation. Sometimes music can soothe the soul, even when it is screaming out rage. Actually, that is the best kind. It helps to release yourself without harming others. Here, I will post the song first. Then I will explain how it fits the situation.
OK, So here are the lyrics and I will break it down for y’all;

Lyrics:
You can lie to yourself, you can lie to the world
You can lie to the one you call your girl
You can humble yourself to the hearts that you stole
Wondering who’s gonna love you when you grow old? With a fistful of courage and a heart full of rage
I realized I’d locked myself in a cage
I’ll be the one standing there with the watery eyes
I’ll be the fool in the mirror asking you whyasking whyWhen I got to the end of my dirty rainbow
And I found that there was no pot of gold
Well, I learned that I was empty and not quite as strong
For I had robbed my heart and cheated my soulLook for the one with the watery eyes
I’ll be the fool in the mirror asking you why
Cursing lovers in a warm tender embrace
Scoffing at the world and the whole human raceChorus:
You can run, you can hide
You can feed your foolish pride
You can use and abuse
In the end you’ll always loseat the gameChorus:
You can run, you can hide
You can feed your foolish pride
With the hearts that you stole
And an empty pot of gold
And the lover’s warm embrace
And the whole damned human race
You can use and abuse
In the end you’ll always loseat the game“for I cheated myself at solitaire.”
Different music means different things to different people at different points in their lives. So this song may not speak to others the same way it does to me.
So the first verse doesn’t mean much to me. On the second; I try to storm through life “With a fistful of courage and a heart full of rage.” That’s me. The tough broad. Telling it like it is. Calling out injustices. Calling out people for those injustices. But now I have found an injustice that has hit close to him. This fear emotion I do not have a name for has got me to the point that “I realized I’d locked myself in a cage.” And that’s what scares me. I don’t like this. I want to be strong. I do not want to be a hypocrite. “I’ll be the one standing there with the watery eyes I’ll be the fool in the mirror asking you whyasking why” I am asking myself why I even bother. I feel like why do I even try to help when that help is unappreciated. Even scoffed at.
When I got to the end of my dirty rainbow
And I found that there was no pot of gold
Well, I learned that I was empty and not quite as strong
For I had robbed my heart and cheated my soul
Ain’t that always the case? We are always chasing that “dirty rainbow.” Only to find that the pot of gold we’re looking for isn’t there. This feeling of being “empty and not quite as strong” has got my feeling like “I had robbed my heart and cheated my soul.”
On the last verse; “Scoffing at the world and the whole human race.” Yeah, that’s about right. Sometimes it’s difficult to trust anyone. You don’t know how/who to properly direct your anger at.
Chorus:
You can run, you can hide
You can feed your foolish pride
With the hearts that you stole
And an empty pot of gold
And the lover’s warm embrace
And the whole damned human race
You can use and abuse
In the end you’ll always loseat the game
The chorus is more directed at those who commit the injustices. Cause ya know what? You’ve been running and hiding. Eventually that idealistic person who is chasing the “dirty rainbow” will turn your happy ass in. After a while “in the end you’ll lose at game” after too many times of using and abusing.
I can’t help but wonder if “for I cheated myself at solitaire.”
I’ve Been Subpoenaed!
I’m going to court! YAY me, NOT! No, I didn’t do anything, at least not this time ;-P . Y’all will recall that when I came back to blogging this time around I stated that some weird shit happened at my place of employment. Cops got called, blah-blah-blah yada-yada-yada…. I thought it was all over with and I could use my blog to vent. Well Wednesday I was just minding my business, at home, re-adjusting my dress form, look out the window, cop car, wonder what the hell is up, officer walks up to my house. He’s got some papers in his hands. Can’t remember what he said to me, but that I have to be in court in about a month. Asked the officer what it was all about. According to the name on the subpoena it has to do with the ”incident.” I have to give my witness testimony. Oh joy!
Gawd, I really want to give the details about the event that led to this. But it would hit too close to home and be too much of an identifier of me. I really don’t want to do this. The people involved are basically white trash. From what I can tell, the victim will be a reluctant witness. Frankly, I am more afraid of the “victim” than the accused. I want to get out of this. I have an attorney friend that I asked if there is a legal way to get out of it. He told me that I can try, but it is quite difficult to get out of an appearance. He told me the first thing is to contact the attorney for the prosecution. If that doesn’t work I need to write an old fashioned letter to the judge.
I have talked to the prosecution attorney. I can’t get out of this. It would probably be pointless to write the judge.
I am going to be honest with y’all. If you look to the right at the little “About Me” blurb I state up front that I will tell like it is and call out people. I try to be a tough broad. But even I have a breaking point. And this is it. It wouldn’t be so bad if I felt my help was appreciated, but it’s not. So why do I even bother?
Government as a Venture Capitalist
Ron Paul’s Texas Straight Talk;
Government as a Venture Capitalist
In January 2009, the administration claimed that if Congress passed a rush stimulus bill, the United States would be saved from economic catastrophe that was threatening to send unemployment figures above 8 percent. Government stimulus was the answer and if we cared about our country, we would set aside our reservations and do what needed to be done to pass the bill. Congress passed the bill. Unemployment continued to go up and has been well over 8 percent ever since. (In fact, economist John Williams of ShadowStats finds unemployment to be closer to 23 percent using traditional methodology.) Yet some are claiming the first stimulus worked and all we need to bring back prosperity is more government stimulus.
Stimulus might appear to work for some people for a short time. It worked for a short time for Solyndra. For a time, they could pretend to be engaging in productive activities that would help the economy. For a time, unemployment was 1,100 people less. But the recent bankruptcy of Solyndra shows that the government is a terrible venture capitalist. This charade cost the American people over half a billion dollars they could not afford, yet there is no mea culpa. The administration is not questioning its calculations, or how they could have been so wrong on their unemployment predictions in the wake of the last stimulus.
Instead, they want more money. Once again we are hearing the cry that if we care about our country, we will approve more spending and more taxes and that will create more jobs. They promise.

The Industry Made It! (Opened for Incubus)
A little over a week ago I linked to a post on the Daily Paul in regards to The Industry, a Ron Paul supporting band. From that link readers could link to a voting page to open for rock band Incubus. Well, they made it into the Top 4. They opened up for Incubus! They have the update on the Daily Paul;
Thanks to everyone here at DP we made the top 4 and were selected by Incubus to open for them in Atlanta. Here’s the video of our song “SaveYour”. Note the applause from the crowd when I mention Ron Paul!
Video of them playing at the concert is posted there.
Sunday Funny – How to be a Good Citizen
Want to be a good citizen but don’t know how because you are too stupid? Well guess what? The government is here to help! Because, well, “We’re the Government – And you’re not.” Too funny not to watch. Pause at frame 6:18.
Now you know. It’s time to obey.
Ron Paul is Pro-Life due to Experience.
When I came back to blogging I was leaning toward Ron Paul and had posted individual issues from the Ron Paul Issues page. I think need to do that some more. One of the big issues is pro-life. I am pro-life but the issues I am most concerned about is the economy. I realize that some pro-lifers are more into the issue. So I would like to let y’all know why those of you who feel really passionate about pro-life should support Ron Paul. Many candidates will merely give lip service in order to pander to the pro-life crowd, or even flip flop just to garner votes. But Ron Paul stands on his convictions regarding pro-life. Ron Paul has been an OB/GYN for 50 years, give or take. He knows how precious life is. According to the “Abortion” page on the Official Ron Paul Campaign Website;
After being forced to witness an abortion being performed during his time in medical school, he knew from that moment on that his practice would focus on protecting life. And during his years in medicine, never once did he find an abortion necessary to save the life of a pregnant woman.
How many other candidates have that experience, sad as it is?
As a physician, Ron Paul consistently put his beliefs into practice and saved lives by helping women seek options other than abortion, including adoption. And as President, Ron Paul will continue to fight for the same pro-life solutions he has upheld in Congress, including:
