“In your guts, you know (s)he’s nuts” – Lyndon Johnson

Bobby Vinton- Mr. Lonely

I can’t help it.  I have to add another Rockabilly song tonite.  I added this song because at my job I had a customer who is a veteran and I thanked him for serving our country.  He answered back that he was proud of his service and glad he did it.  It has been told that Bobby “The Polish Prince” Vinton wrote this song, “Mr. Lonely” while he was serving in the Army.  Warning; you will cry when you hear and view this.  Thank you to the person who created this video.

Again, I know Bobby Vinton was more known for his love songs and song of heart break, rather than a peppy Rockabilly sound. But, if you listen to the sound in his voice in all of his songs, not just this one. You can just hear the tears in his voice, and that was Rockabilly about. It had the raw emotion that no other modern song can duplicate.

Before I sign off, check out this post from Flopping Aces about a Troop Support Rally.
