Where Politics and Rockabilly Become Strangely Fused

Does Kwame Kilpatrick and Other Politicians suffer from JFK Symdrome?

I was thinking about writing this post after the whole Eliot Spitzer incident. The Spitzer case died out of the news and I didn’t write about this. Now that the Kwame Kilpatrick incident came up, I think I will write about this. Actually the Kilpatrick incident came up in January. It’s just kinda been festering up. And now the gangrene has gotten to the point that the scab got picked and it’s all spilling out.

Every time I hear about some politician cheatin on his wife, the wife and girlfriend or whore (literally) all seem to fit into narrow stereotypes. These guys marry some prissy perfect country club type. The wives all seem like someone who has been trained to be a political and/or rich man’s wife. They attended charm school to learn how to hold their champagne glasses just right, how to make small talk, how to flirt, how to talk just write. This is part of Cotillion programs. Then they move onto Debutant Balls where they dance with frat boys who could be potential husbands. The fathers of the rich girls make their rounds talking to fathers of frat boys, basically being a pimp for their daughters.

When you see pictures of the “other woman” she just looks so skanky. I can’t explain it, but she just looks skanky. When ya hear stories about them they seem manipulative.

These politicians never marry the spunky tell it like it is woman. They never have affairs with those type of women. Perhaps they try to “get her.” I know I have been hit on by married guys, some rich some not. These type of women have too much self respect for themselves.

When it comes to the most famous adultery, we think of the Kennedy family, especially John and his affairs with Marylin Monroe and Judith Exner. First Lady Jackie Bouvier Kennedy grew up in a rich lifestyle and was very cultured. She was one of those who went to Cotillions and Debutante Balls. She was full of grace. Yet, John cheated on her with all kindsa chicks. The most famous of those were Marilyn Monroe and Judith Exner. Allegedly, Jackie knew of these affairs.

I have noticed that these wives always seem to look at their husbands in such a “loving” way that it borders on idol worship. Makes me nauseated.

It’s almost as if this is some sort of unspoken rule. The politician, and other rich guys for that matter, are programmed to marry the prissies. Then they go on to cheat on the wives with some skank. Maybe their reasoning is that it is considered par for the course to commit adultery and they want the wives who are most likely to give them an excuse to cheat. Ya know, “She’s such a prude.” “She’s not into kinky stuff.” She’s cold in bed.” “She doesn’t understand me.” “We don’t have stimulating conversations.” What this boils down to is image. They want a specific image at the country club.

Here are some picks of the stereotypical political image.

Here is Jackie looking ever so lovingly at John Kennedy. john-and-jackie-kennedy.jpg

Now Silda looking ever so lovingly at Eliot Spitzer. eliot-and-silda-spitzer.jpg

Of course, here is Carlita looking ever so lovingly at Kwame Kilpatrick. kwame-and-carlita-kilpatrick.jpg

Let’s look at the girlfriends, how manipulative they seem.

First up is Marilyn Monroe, mistress to John Kennedy. marilyn-monroe.jpg

Next is Judith Exner, the other mistress to JFK. judith-exner.jpg

Of course, here is Ashley Dupre, whore to Eliot Spitzer. ashley-dupre.jpg

I have to admit that Christine Beatty, mistress to Kwame Kilpatrick, does not look all that manipulative. What is wrong with her? She looks like someone who should be smart enough to stay away from married guys.

  1. It is interesting. Most of the focus has been on the men, and the explanations tend toward the hubris of power, and the corrupting effect of power. In the case of JFK I think there was a sense of rich boy entitlement that aggravated this. Most of these men are characterized by an almost insane, pathological ambition, generaly for power. That certainly applies to every serious aspirant at the presidential level. And I think it applies to their women, too, along with perhaps other dysfunctions. They too are motivated by unhealthy levels of ambition for non-socially useful things, and hope to attain it through their husbands rather than in their own right. IOW, it’s a corrupt bargain from the beginning, or at least it becomes one early in their marriages.

  2. jmchugh4u,

Thank you for stopping by my blog and commenting. I am kinda curious about the women. It seems to be more complicated about what drives the women to allow this. I have talked about this before. Before the Eliot Spitzer incident, society just kinda ignored how the women act, some people even admiring the woman for standing by his side.
I still wonder how Republicans would have acted towards Silda had Eliot Spitzer been a Republican. Would they have said she extols the virtues of family values? I may consider myself a Republican, but I am a woman first and if I think Republicans are misbehaving or ignoring misbehaving I will speak out.
Specifically, with the Kennedy’s adultery is a family activity. Joseph Kennedy, the patriarch, did it. So the sons did too. The daughters knew dad did it, so they allowed it with their husbands. Almost expecting it. Look at Peter Lawford (can’t remember which Kennedy girl he married)and his sex parties that involved Marilyn, Frank Sinatra, Sam Giancana and others. Jackie’s father and step-father cheated on her mother. So she almost expected this from her husbands, Jack and Aristotle.
Mother’s of young women need to teach their daughters more than just about the “birds and bees.” They need to teach them about self respect, to not allow their future husbands to treat them bad and not to mess with married men.

  4. How dare you! You are so quick to judge these woman, when society and the media expect them to be the perfect ladies. These poor young girls with incredible asperations, conform to our pathetic socities idealism of what a wife and lady is suppose to be. Shame on you, Jackie Kennedy was a real women and lady, and you should feel disguisted naming her as anything else, especially a prude. She had more class and dignity in her pinky finger than you do in your whole body. I am proud to be named after her. As far as Marilyn Monroe goes, get your facts straight. Her affair was not with JFK, but with Bobby, despite what you have heard.

    • How dare me? Hmmm? How often do you read this blog? How do you know anything about me?

I am judging the men too. We all make our own choices. Regardless of how society expects us to act.

Yeah, women sleeping with a politician having deluded dreams to “steal” him from his wife and/or prostituting herself is an incredible aspiration. I know my mom is disappointed that I am not walking the streets nor having an affair with a politician, or any married man for that matter. I know all parents want their daughters to grow up to be kept women. A woman should not obtain nice clothes, jewelry and other luxuries on her own merit. Instead, she should whore herself to get nice stuff.

I never called Jackie Kennedy a prude. If you re-read what I wrote, you will see that I said she had grace.

Marilyn Monroe slept with both Kennedy’s and everyone in the Kennedy circle and everyone who would “throw her a bone.”

Just curious, is your man cheating on you? Are you cheating with a married man hoping he will leave his wife for you? Sometimes the truth hurts. Sometimes when a mistress feels guilty, she will take it out on someone who is willing to tell it like it is.
