10,000 Hits and Counting

On the evening of May 16, this blog, Michigan Redneck II, has officially made it past the 10,000 mark. This blog was created on February 23, meaning that it took 2 1/2 months to get to the 10,000 mark. It could have gotten to the 10,000 mark sooner, ‘cept I have been in and out of hiatus and wasn’t posting, thus not getting that many hits during that time. But I want to thank my regular readers for not giving up on me or me blog. How about a big WOO HOO!

Yes, that Rockateens 1950’s classic is the song from the Vonage commercial.

All You Need to Know About Michigan Redneck

I am a politically conservative chick who has a passion for politics, and The USA. I currently live in the Upper Peninsula. I grew up in the Flint, Michigan area. I am mainly a Fiscal Conservative. I am a blue collar worker who is eligible for many gubmint handouts. I refuse to sign up for these programs. I pay my bills according to which utility threatens to shut me off first. I struggle but I was raised that to get what I want and need, work for it.

Besides politics I am studying my Bohemian genealogy and whenever I have time, I try to pick up my grandpa’s guitar. I love to eat healthily. My favorite food is Central European; Czech, Polish and German. I love to eat pork, sauerkraut, potatoes/or dumplings washed down with beer. My favorite beer is Pabst Blue Ribbon. I love to sew. The main sewing machine I use is my grandma’s Domestic Deluxe 153 from 1951. Starting on Thanksgiving, I start playing Christmas music and make Christmas presents for friends, co-workers and family. I have a passion for decorating. My style is a mix of Andy Warhol meets Donna Reed. I try to add a little bit of all elements of the fifties in my cute little Yooper cottage. If you would like to know more about me, just ask!
