Fred Thompson Now Blogging on Townhall.com
For real y’all, I really need a nap. But I thought before I go to dreamland I would relay this to you. As I was on the computer I had FOX & Friends as background noise. Fred Thompson was on the show and announced that he is now blogging on Townhall.com. I went to the townhall site right away to check this out. Here is his post regarding Conservative Principles.

And by conservatism, I don’t mean the warmed-over “raise your hand if you believe …” kind of conservatism we see blooming every election cycle. No, I’m speaking of the conservatism grounded in principles based upon enduring truths: an understanding of the importance of human nature in the affairs of individuals and nations. Respect for the lessons of history, the importance of faith and tradition. The understanding that while man is prone to err, he is capable of great things when not subjugated by a too-powerful government. These are the principles that inspired our Founding Fathers, and resulted in a Constitution that delineated the powers of the central government, established checks and balances among the branches of government and further diffused governmental power by a system of Federalism. I think this is great that Mr. Thompson will be speaking on conservative issues. I was very saddened by his withdrawal from the ‘08 race.



I am excited that Fred is back in the public. I just wish he was not supporting a liberal like McCain.
Same here. I understand the two are friends, but still…
I agree. I just think it is regrettable when Conservatives stand by the RINO’s just because they are friends. You know that the loyalty won’t be returned. That said, I have already added his Town Hall post to my favorites section.
