Rocky Horror Picture Show – Time Warp (Bring Back Operation Wetback)

In another of my combining Rockabilly with political thoughts.  With the the whole immigration thing and these sissy politicians, on both sides of the aisle, wanting to give amnesty or not being tough enough on immigration I feel we need to bring back “Operation Wetback.”  To summarize what that is, in 1954 President Dwight D. Eisenhower was trying to end corruption and get rid of illegal aliens that were taking jobs from Americans.  With one tenth of the Border Patrol Agents than we have as of current, he sent them out to send illegals packing, out of our country.  Here’s my message to our politicians, IT IS TIME TO DO THE TIME WARP AGAIN!  I do not care how politically incorrect this is, we need to do something, NOW!  If these illegals know that we mean what we say, they will leave our country and not come back, or not even come into this country.

Insert your own Rudy Giuliani joke here. I know this Rocky Horror Picture Show is probably a taboo movie under the Republican code of conduct rule book, but whatever. I think it is a cute and funny movie. The best cult classic out there.

I actually got to see a midnight showing of the movie. It was freakin awesome! It is the one and truly only way to watch it. I was living in Corpus Christi, Texas at the time. I was out on a date with a guy and we were driving around to figure out what to do. He mentioned that the Center Theater, an old movie/stage theater that had been boarded up for years, was having it’s grand re-opening by playing midnight showings of Rocky Horror Picture Show for it’s first week. Again, freakin awesome! No joke, inside this theater they allowed smoking, plus, there was a bar where you could get beer and mixed drinks. Everyone in the theater was getting all interactive and dancing on the seats and in the aisles. The theater went on to be a venue for local punk bands. It has been a few years since I have been there. If anyone knows what has happened to the theater, let me know.
