Beginning of the End of the Two Party System
As the past year and a half has passed I have slowly, yet strongly been walking away from Republican “doctrine” and closer to independent. Some call this middle or moderate. But I tell you, I feel less and less moderate. My conservatism and patriotism is getting stronger and stronger the farther I get away from the Republican Party. Today I read an interesting transcript from the Glenn Beck Radio Show. He is talking about a possible death of the two party system. At the beginning of the show him and Stu talk about polling numbers on Barack Obama. I am going to do something a bit different and post the last part of the transcript.
GLENN: Okay. Here is where the problem is for Barack Obama and I believe our two‑party system. This morning at 9:00 a.m. I turned in the manuscript to Simon and Schuster for Common Sense based on or inspired by Thomas Paine’s original Common Sense. I believe this is going to be a dangerous book because it is so frank, it is so clear. It is a message that I don’t think that you hear in the mainstream at all, and it takes both parties down, holds both of their feet to the fire. And this is going to ‑‑ Stu, the time that an empire is at its most dangerous point is when?
STU: Its most dangerous point?
GLENN: Most dangerous fear is an empire ‑‑
STU: Scare, fear and hunger?
GLENN: You are just throwing Glenn Beck answers.
STU: When it’s in collapse?
GLENN: When it’s in collapse, correct. The empire of the two‑party system is about to realize that it may go into collapse. When that happens, they will become extraordinarily dangerous because they’re just going to grab onto power and they will do anything to destroy anyone to stop that from happening. They will use anyone and push their head under the water to keep themselves afloat, okay? I believe we are, you know, maybe a year away. I don’t know. I have no idea on the timing of things, but I believe that we are on the road. If things continue down this road, we’re on the road of these guys collapsing and here’s where I want to show it to you. This is why. This will make you realize, oh, wow, wait a minute; my side actually is winning. If your side is the truth and not the parties.
Everybody’s going against, if you look at the media right now, what is everybody doing? Barack Obama is ignoring the tea party people. All of the media centers are ignoring the tea party people or ridiculing them. That’s the only way they’re going. They have decided for their own power, because they are collapsing. Their ratings are absolutely horrific, and they are collapsing. So what do they do? First they reached for Rush Limbaugh. Then they reach for people like me. Then they reach for the last straw, people like you. In the case of the media, they are only doing this, they are selling out their principles of journalistic standards. Have you ever seen the media actually blatantly pick sides? They didn’t cover. They decided what this movement was. They decided that this movement was anti‑Barack Obama, it was just a Republican shill, it was nothing but ‑‑ it was started by CNBC. This is quintessential grassroots. Well, they will call ACORN grassroots that is getting government money. This is not.&nb sp; Their ratings are in collapse. So they decided to save themselves. They will just pull down the people in the center of the country. They will just pull down the people who are libertarian in spirit and growing more so every day. When you look at the approval rating of 55%, everybody can say, “Oh, my gosh, Barack Obama is doing really well.” When you look at the GOP, you see that his number with the GOP is 71% disapprove. But only 25% approval. 25% approval. There is still more to lose with the GOP. When you look at the Democrats, 89% approve. 12% disapprove. It is my thesis that 12%, you can’t get much higher. George Bush wasn’t higher than this after September 11. What, 93%? Okay, maybe 4 percentage points. But that was after 9/11! 9/11. So you are hard pressed to find any more Democratic support for Barack Obama than he has right now. So he has every place to go but down with the Democrats and the GOP. But here’s where it means something more than just the president of the United States: Independents disapprove 53‑45. These people are still swinging: 53‑45, but they lean disapproval. They don’t like the games between the Democrats and the Republicans and these people were onto, wait a minute, they were betrayed by Bush and they were betrayed by Barack Obama. That can only ‑‑ that number, I believe, is not going to stay stable because the number of independents in America is not stable.
A few years ago there were only 11% of the country that said, yeah, I’m just independent. That number is now 25% that I am now just independent. That number is growing. As these groups continue to disenfranchise their own bases, as the tea party movement grows within both parties and they say “I am not going to be a part of this game anymore,” as people start to understand the game which I believe we have exposed clearly unlike anything you have ever seen before, at least not in one place, it is all of it put all in one place, when this movement is really, when people start to pull that curtain back and see it and they are like, oh, my gosh, look at this, that number goes through the roof of independents. That’s when they are in real trouble, and America will be restored. When people say, “I’m not going to play this game anymore.” You should get great, great hope out of the fact that people are starting to leave the parties. It’s what George Washington wanted to happen. Everything that’s happening right now is exactly what was in George Washington’s farewell address. He said, “Listen to me, please, just remember these things. Don’t do these things.” We’ve done them. And he said the destruction that would be wrought if we did do them, and it is the same destruction. It’s amazing. It’s like prophecy from this guy. And so what do we have to do? We have to leave these parties and start listening to George Washington. I know he’s been dead but he’s still very, very relevant. And get away from these parties. As we do that, however, they will get more and more vicious because they’re not just going to shed this power.
The same with the media. The media is not going to shed their power. They are losing their newspapers. They are losing their ratings on television. If you look at what Fox is, if you take the Democrats and the independents and you combine them, there are far more Democrats and independents watching Fox News than there are members of the GOP. There are more of those two parties. But if you look at the numbers in the country and you say, okay, if you take independents and Democrats and the GOP, there’s this big number out there. But if you only play to one side and the independents don’t want to play with you, well, then you got nothing. And if you look at the ratings of these television shows, it takes MSNBC, Headline News and CNN combined and they still don’t beat like my show or O’Reilly’s show. That’s phenomenal and that’s what really is happening in America. But warning: Once they realize that there’s no place else to go and they are about to lose their newspapers and their television stations, then they are in full‑fledged panic because what they realize is they are actually losing their grip on power.

She struggles was raised that to get what she wants and needs, work for it.
Her political views lean towards Fiscal Conservative. Believes the gubmint needs to get out of the way and let the free market work. Believes both of the two main political parties need to get out of the business of social issues. In this blog I will alert readers of what is going on around them in my outside the box way. I WILL call out hypocrites, from all sides of the aisle.

America has a two-party system. We always have- we always will. “Walk away” from it- that just means liberal Democrats will win, and so will liberal Republicans. It is a two-party system- that is the end of the argument. The less active you are in the Republican party, the less off our party and country is.
America may have always been a two party system, but it hasn’t always been Democrat verses Republican since George Washington’s time. Or at least not according to what I am currently reading on wikipedia here, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Us_political_parties. There has always been shifts in the “two party system.” The average American could care less about silly political parties. Most of the blue collar folk in this country talk down on both parties and think both are corrupt. So often people say I used to belong to such and such party but they are now disappointed and no longer vote. If Fiscal Conservatives who are sick of family values talk and Democrats who are sick of the crazy liberalism were to join together with Libertarians we’d have a pretty good party that could knock either the modern Dems or Reps on their arses to the point they can’t get up. That has been the history of political parties in this country. It never happens overnight. It takes a few “crazies” to talk and talk, then finally people realize the crazies ain’t so crazy. There is just too much idol worshipping on both sides; i.e. Barack Obama, Sarah Palin, Al Gore, Joe the Plumber, Huffington Post, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh all shit roses or are evil, depending on who’s doing the talking. Today I recieved a message on Facebook for me to join their group. Don’t even think the person is on my friend’s list. The groups discription has the frightening “…our beloved Sean Hannity…” The only person I will call beloved is Jesus.
Just a footnote; The modern Democrat Party didn’t get it’s start until the 1830’s and the modern Republican Party came about in 1854.
The parties, in and of themselves, are not the issue. If Ronald Reagan returned from the dead and rode into D. C. on a white horse he’d be innaugurated in an INSTANT. It’s the people running the show who are to blame for this.
I’ve been a lifelong Republican, but the simple fact is that the party is pushing me away, too…except that it’s not. It’s the people GUIDING the party. Right now the Republicans and Democrats are so alike you couldn’t separate them with a shoehorn. They trash each other for the cameras because that’s what they’re “supposed” to do, but when the cameras aren’t rolling they are breaking bread with one another on Monday night and golfing together on Thursday. So much emphasis has been put on the homogenization of politics–”reaching across the aisle”, “being a uniter, not a divider”, “yadayadayada”–that one can hardly tell the (D)s from the (R)s. What we’re missing is the days when duels were fought on the steps of the Capitol because people actually BELIVED in something and were willing to STAND UP for it. I don’t care what you call the parties, if they’re occurring in the same house. That’s what we’re dealing with–a Washington so entrenched and corrupt that until everyone is thrown out on their ear and their replacements begin to stand for something again, we’ll have what we have now. Two parties, five parties, a hundred parties–unless they’re willing to actually BELIEVE and DEFEND, the number of them just doesn’t matter.

Thank you.
Regardless of who Chris Daggett hurts, Daggett is not a spoiler and he can win.
Daggett has broken 20 percent and can win. The Washington Post says at 20% there is a path for Daggett to win and political analysts say with 25% in the polls Daggett can win.
Now its a matter of getting that last 100,000 votes to get Daggett in a position to win.
To do that we are reaching out to voters that want to Vote for Daggett but are afraid a vote for Daggett is a wasted vote. So…
The I’ll vote for Daggett Pledge:
“I want to vote for Chris Daggett, but only if he has a real chance of winning. He needs pledges from 100,000 people like me. I don’t want to wait til Election Day to find out that those votes existed, but we were all afraid to cast them. So, I’m signing my name below, with my address to prove that I’m real, and pledging that if 100,000 people like me sign up, I will vote for Daggett.”
Click Here To Take the I’ll Vote For Daggett Pledge
Spread the word about this pledge, so we can bring an end to politics as usual.
The broken and corrupt two party system threatens us all, event if we are not from NJ. Take a stand.
