Two new Reasons I am Glad to be Part of the First District
When I had my original blog I wrote about “Three Reasons Why I am Glad to be Part of the First District.” On this page, I want to talk about two new reasons I am glad to be part of the First District, Keith Almli and John Niemela.
On the Carpio Express Yooper Bus, on the way back from the Michigan GOP State Convention Joel Westrom (You remember him from the “Three reasons…” page) was talking with us about starting about a First District GOP Blog. At this point it was only in brainstorm form. About a week and a half later, I had coffee with Frank Egeler (You remember him too, from the “Three Reasons…” page) while he was in town. We were talking a little bit about Joel’s idea. He said that Keith Almli had been wanting to work on this.
When I got home from the coffee, don’t even ask about the breakfast. Oh well, I am not picky when other people pay. Heck, if someone else pays, I am happy with cardboard with cheese sauce. Anyhoo, I got the notion to facebook Keith. We talked and got the ball rolling. He got Joel to let him put up the blog on .
Since I had started my own blog, I had nagged Joel to do a project like this. I know how to do the point and click things, along with a few simple other stuff on the computer. Other than that I am not too computer savvy. Joel didn’t have the time to do a project on his own. Keith is very computer savvy. He knows how to do all that code stuff. If it hadn’t been for Keith, there still would not be a First District Blog.

John Niemela is a regular contributor to the First District Blog. He is a great blogger with a great mind. He puts up great posts. He usually posts once a day. It is great that he can keep the site fresh. He is also a kind and encouraging person.
During the “Super Tuesday II,” on March 4, 2008, many of us were doing live blogging on the First District GOP Blog. Those participating were First District Chairman Joel Westrom, Keith Almli and John Niemela. Even Michigan Republican Chairman Saul Anuzis joined in with us. It was fun and exciting. From the comfort of our homes or offices we were watching TV and/or picking up stuff off the internet, then posting it on the blog, at marathon speeds. I think with Mr. Anuzis’ help, he should be made an honorary First Districter.

Nicely put.
For a cheap buffet I liked the breakfast! You must have a more refined taste.

Sorry, I should have elaborated better on the breakfast. It wasn’t that bad. I liked it, and thanks :D. Just there are better places in town that serves better breakfast.
Hey, I can’t have that refined of tastes, I did say I would be happy with cardboard and cheese sauce ;).
